Right now if you are not focused on creating engaging content for your website on a consistent basis, you are leaving a lot of money on the table.
When you create high quality content within your website, and then that content is shared and linked to in social media, it generates a series of backlinks, authority and reach among search engine visitors searching for the content you just created.
When people search for specific information that is related to the blog post that you just wrote, it sets you up for success over the long run.

Watching the most popular talk shows on TV is one of the best places to find ideas for high quality content you can create for your site. Knowing that each talk show is battling for ratings, they are always focused on creating the most engaging content that keeps their viewers eyeballs on the screen.
Use this to your advantage by paying attention to each segment that is done on every show, and see if you can tailor your future blog posts around the content framework idea they just gave you.
If you are watching Dr. Oz, and he has a segment coming up that will be covering, “Secrets To Getting Rid of Your Muffin Top,” use this same framework and customize it to your blog post by following this prompt, “Secrets to Getting Rid of ____________”
The show wouldn’t be doing a segment on this topic, unless they knew it would serve their goals of keeping people glued to their TV screens.
2) Listen To The Radio
Another great place to get great ideas for engaging content on your site is to listen to the various morning radio show programs. Ideally depending on what niche you are in will depend on what you listen to.
Similar to the tip about watching TV above, follow the same way of thinking where you pay attention to what grabs you to keep listening…and then using that same hook for a blog post you can create for your site.
3) Read Magazine Covers
Magazines know what sells. Period.
One of the things I like to do is look at the cover of magazines to see what articles they are highlighting on the front cover. More often than not, after reading the cover of one magazine, I am able to come up with at least six new blog post ideas for my site because the content frameworks they are putting on the front page are totally swipe-able!
The amount of research magazines do to figure out what words sell and what words don’t can be leveraged in a big way!

4) Read HARO Pitches
If you aren’t signed up to receive the three e-mails per day from Help A Reporter Out (HARO), you are also missing out on a free opportunity to swipe great ideas for current and future articles for your site.
HARO is a service that allows reporters to send their pitches for a source to a list of 70,000+ people and growing. Each day three emails are sent, and in each e-mail is a pitch from a reporter looking for a specific person for a quote for their article.
Use this to your advantage!
You can take a look at what reporters are writing about, and then use that intelligence to come up with a blog post that will relate to your audience.
Pretty “Ninja” wouldn’t you say?
